100 Crore Revenue Recovery Estimated from Indore

Indore. The Chief Secretary B. P. Singh reviewed divisional level status of revenue cases at Indore. It was informed in the meeting that revenue of over Rs. 80 crore 71 lakh has been collected in Indore division till today in the current year. There is a target to collect revenue of Rs. 100 crore till March from Indore district.

The CS said that improvement has been registered in Indore division regarding redressal of revenue cases and this should be continued. He lauded the monitoring system and innovations. Singh further mentioned that redressal of revenue cases will be monitored constantly. Action will be taken against the officers for negligence. Officers up to SDM level will only participate in future review meetings. Works of Tahsildars and Sub-Tahsildars will be reviewed by the concerned SDO Revenue. He stated that records should be corrected immediately after the decision of the Revenue Courts.Record rooms should be kept clean, secured and properly arranged.

9,235 Vacant Posts of Patwaris to be Filled Soon - Moreover, it was informed in the meeting that process to fill 9,235 vacant posts of patwaris is nearing completion. Patwaris will be posted in the districts after their intensive training. Appointments of the selected candidates will be completed within next one month.

3.21 Lakh Persons to get residential pattas and land rights documents - Commissioner Sanjay Dubey informed that a target has been set to provide residential land pattas and land rights documents to 3 lakh 21 thousand 320 beneficiaries in the division. Entire demarcation cases are being handled through TCM. He further stated that separate teams have been formed to inspect courts under the monitoring system. The teams have inspected 296 courts. Readers have been trained and good result has been obtained by making help desk for survey of demarcation.

Land Revenue Code and Revenue Laws to be Amended - Secretary Revenue Hariranjan Rao has informed that necessary amendments will be made in land revenue code and revenue laws. A proforma is being prepared for this. Revenue department will be strengthened and new tahsils will be formed as required.
