24 new procurement centres in state

Bhopal. As many as 24 new procurement centres have been approved for gram, lentil and mustard in state on the recommendations of the committee formed under the price support scheme in state. Directions have been given for immediate purchase at these centres. Among the new procurement centres three each have been started in Raisen and Ujjain district, two each in Ashoknagar, Khandwa, Hoshangabad and Mandsaur and one each in Betul, Bhind, Shajapur, Aagar, Shivpuri, Chhindwada, Sheopur, Gwalior and Jhabua.

Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan had issued directions to start new procurement centres keeping the facilities of the farmers in mind during the video-conference today. As many as 24 new procurement centres have been approved in the meeting presided over by Principal Secretary Farmer-Welfare and Agriculture Development Dr. Rajesh Rajoura. Collectors have been told to make all essential arrangements in these centres.

Fixation of average productivity - New fixation of average productiovity of gram for Hoshangabad and Harda districts for Rabi Marketing Season 2018-19 was done in the Price Support Scheme meeting. The average productivity for gram in Hoshangabad and Harda district has been fixed at 19 quintals per hectare in place of 15 quintals per hectare while the average productivity of mustard crop has been fixed at 15 quintals per hectare in place of 13 quintals per hectare in Bhind and Morena district. In this connection Principal Secretary Farmer Welfare and Agriculture Development has issued directions to Collectors of Hoshangabad, Harda, Bhind and Morena.
