260 Crore approved for second phase of RUSA project
Bhopal. In order to carry out infrastructure development in colleges and universities of the state, an amount of Rs. 260 crore has been approved by the Union Ministry Human Resources Development for the second phase of RUSA project. Minister for Higher Education Jaibhan Singh Pawayya, while informing about this said that this amount will be utilised to complete works, proposed under the Rashtriya Uchchatar Shiksha Abhiyan (RUSA) in the colleges and universities by the Higher Education department.
An amount of Rs. 20 crore each will be allocated for infrastructure development works to Barkatullah Vishwavidyalaya Bhopal, M.G.G. Vishwavidyalaya Chitrakoot and Vikram Vishwavidyalaya under the RUSA project. Similarly, 26 crore will be given for new establishment Vyavasayik Mahavidyalaya-Rajgarh and sum of Rs. 12 crore each to Naveen Adarsh Mahavidyalaya Chhattarpur, Vidisha, Khandwa, Singrauli, Damoh, Guna, Badwani and Rajgarh.
An amount of Rs. 4 crore each will be allocated for up-gradation of Government College Anjad, Government Girls College Vidisha and Neelkantheshwar Government College Khandwa. Moreover, an amount of Rs. 2 crore each will be allocated to NAAC accredited 33 colleges for infrastructure development.
