Achievements of State Police are infinite
Bhopal. Annual income limit for Mukhyamantri Medhavi Vidyarthi Yojana has been increased from Rs 6 to 8 lakh. This will facilitate higher education of meritorious students of police family as well. Whatever is needed for education of children, will be done. Works are being carried out continuously for betterment of education, health and housing facilities of police families. Efforts for basic amenities will be expanded. Chief Minister Chouhan was addressing family members of state police officers and jawans.
CM said that the Police works under the adverse conditions and their families also leads life with difficulties, this is the reason why he has special love and attachment towards them. He is making constant efforts to ensure how better could be done for them. Modern with complete facilities houses are being constructed constantly by the Police Housing Corporation. He further mentioned that Martyr stature has also been given to the police jawan, who sacrificed his life while discharging duties for internal security and maintaining law and order. They will be given same honour by the government as given to martyrs of defence forces.
Moreover, he stated that achievements of police for maintaining law and order and controlling terrorist activities is a matter of pride. The Prime Minister Narendra Modi has told to publicise the information in the case of Katni, in which the punishment has been given to the criminal in just 5 days. Congratulating the Police, Chouhan mentioned that immediate action taken by the police in the case, investigation and producing of challan with promptness have made it possible.
The Chief Minister said that the efforts for modernization of police are in progress. Around 11 thousand CCTV cameras have been installed in the state which is maximum in the country to check the activities in the state. Safe City Monitoring and Response Centre has also been dedicated today. Dial-100 mobile app is being linked to Dial-100 service. Motorcycles will also be included in Dial-100 so that police services are available for the public in narrow lanes also.
Director General of Police Rishi Kumar Shukla gave the welcome speech at the outset and informed about the police modernization status and needs. Additional Director General Special Armed Forces Vijay Yadav proposed the vote of thanks.
