All sections agree on holding Lok Sabha and Vidhan Sabha polls together
Bhopal. A divisional level meeting of the state level committee constituted by the Madhya Pradesh government to find out the opinion of the common man and for discussion on holding Lok Sabha and Vidhan Sabha elections simultaneously was held under the chairmanship of Public Relations, Water Resources and Parliamentary Affairs Minister and Committee Chairman Dr. Narottam Mishra at Indore.
Representatives of various sections took part in the meeting. The state level committee is organizing meetings in other divisions of the state also to know the opinions of various groups of the society on this important issue.
Committee member B.D. Sharma termed the suggestions acquired from various sources as important during the meeting. He said that a report based on the suggestions and opinions obtained from legal experts, thinkers, media representatives, social workers, public representatives and common man on the subject will be made. Committee coordinator and Principal Secretary Ajit Kesri told that the common people and public representatives can send their opinions through email on the address email@example.com. Suggestions can be sent also in writing to the Principal Secretary Animal Husbandry room no. 340, Vallabh Bhavan, Bhopal.
In the divisional meeting that concluded in Indore, MLA Sudarshan Gupta, Usha Thakur, Rajesh Sonkar, Velsingh Bhuria, Neena Verma, Nagarisingh Chouhan and other public representatives expressed their own views and suggested that it is must to hold Lok Sabha and Vidhan Sabha elections simultaneously in the interest of the nation. Similarly presidents of various students unions, representatives of Bar Association, other lawyers, media persons, farmers, traders etc also seconded the suggestion of holding the Lok Sabha and Vidhan Sabha elections simultaneously. The participants said that if this takes place, a favourable environment will be created in the entire country, development will be accelerated, money, time and labour will be saved. The administrative team will be used to accelerate development works and improve law and order system. Committee members Mahesh Shrivastava and Shivnarayan Rupla were present during the meeting.
