Civil Service Day celebrated in Academy of Administration
Bhopal. State level programme was organised at Academy of Administration today on April 20 to mark Civil Service Day. Chief Secretary inaugurated the programme by lighting up traditional lamp. Director General of Police Rishi Kumar Shukla, Principal Chief Conservator of Forests Animesh Shukla, additional Chief Secretary, Home, K.K. Singh, Additional Chief Secretary, Finance, A.P. Shrivastava, Principal Secretary, General Administration Seema Sharma, Secretary, General Administration, Rashmi Arun Shami, commissioner, Bhopal division, Ajatshatru Shrivastava and officials of administration, police and forests services were present on the occasion.
Chief Secretary Basant Pratap Singh said that Veda and Upnishad in India have given concept of 'Sachidanand'. God-Demon or sur-asur words are only symbolic. Joy and misery both are inside. The Chief Secretary congratulated Department of Happiness for launching Anand Calendar.
Additional Chief Secretary, Iqbal Singh Bains made interesting presentation on 'Department of Happiness - concept and relevance' in the first session of the programme. Informing about 'Anand Utsav', 'Neki Ki Diwar', 'Anand Calendar', He said that the success in the life completes when we learn how to be happy. Efforts should be made to achieve things by remaining happy.
Bains said that Happiness Index of State would be prepared in collaboration with IIT, Kanpur. Anand Club will also be formed. 'Alpa Viram' programme is being run in 20 districts at present. In the programme, those who gave us pain, are forgiven in the mind, by observing two minutes silence. And, apology is sought in the mind from those who we bother. This helps in removing anger, ego, bad feelings like disorders.
ADG, Police, Anvesh Mangalam presented on 'Utility of CCTV and its legal aspects'. Secretary, Public Service Management, Hariranjan Rao made presentation on 'CM Helpline -epitome of delivering of public service'.
Commissioner, Indore division, Sanjay Dubey gave presentation on 'organ donation' and Additional Principal Chief Conservator of Forest, Anurag Shrivastava gave presentation on 'Matching forests-revenue boundaries”. Joint Director, Academy of Administration, Pragya Awasthi conducted the programme.
