Counting of Kolaras and Mungawali By-Elections on February 28

Bhopal. Counting of votes of Kolaras and Mungawali assembly by-elections of Shivpuri and Ashok Nagar district respectively will be held on February 28. Twenty three rounds will be held to count the votes of Kolaras by-election, whereas 19 rounds will be held to count the votes of Mungwali. There are 22 and 13 contestants in fray for Kolaras and Mungwali by-elections respectively. The Chief Electoral Officer Salina Singh gathered information from the district collectors of both the districts and returning officers, holding discussions with them about the counting. She told them to follow the instructions of the Election Commission of India during the counting. Counting will begin at 8.00 a.m. EVMs will be taken out from the strong room amid the tight security.
