Finance Minister releases magazine focusing GST
Bhopal. The Minister for Finance and Commercial Tax Jayant Mallayya released a magazine focusing Goods and Service Tax (GST) in Bhopal. The provisions made under the GST have been incorporated in simple language in the magazine.
On this occasion, the Additional Chief Secretary Commercial Tax Manoj Shrivastava said that GST has been considered as a big transformation in the field of country’s economy. By amalgamating various kinds of taxes of the country, the procedure has been simplified in the form of GST. He further mentioned that it will help benefitting tax payers and tax collectors significantly, if discussions about the GST will be held further in simple language in the society. While discussing about the activities undertaken during the last one year under the GST, the Additional Chief Secretary mentioned that over 1400 workshops were already conducted in the entire state for the convenience of businessmen. He expressed a hope that increase in revenue as estimated by the government could be ensured, when the officers-employees of the union and state government would work together with better coordination at a single platform. He also apprised about the tax system prevailing in the European countries.
The Central Chief Commissioner, GST Hemant Bhatt said that the GST has accomplished the objective of one nation and one tax. He further stated that procedure of GST has been made flexible. Keeping in view the convenience of the common man and businessmen, constant amendments are being made in this system. Return file form of GST is being simplified.
The Editor of the magazine S.K. Sharma mentioned that this magazine has been published with an objective to apprise common man and businessmen with the provisions of GST in simple language. The Tax Consultant R.S. Maheshwari stressed on need for public awareness to implement GST in more effective manner.
