Governor honoured with World of Record honour on her birthday
Bhopal. Governor Anandiben Patel was honoured with the World of Record Award for opening the Raj Bhavan to the public at a function held in Raj Bhavan on her birthday. This is the second award given to the Governor by the World of Records, a London institution. The Raj Bhavan was kept open for the public from August 11 to August 16, 2018, during which around one lakh people visited the Raj Bhavan, for which Santosh Shukla, President of World of Records in India, presented a certificate to the Governor. On this occasion, a short film prepared on the Raj Bhavan excursion by Raj Bhavan Press Cell was also displayed. A birthday celebration was organized by the officials and employees of Raj Bhavan on the 78th birthday of the Governor.
On this occasion, Governor Anandiben Patel said that our great men and seers have taught us to create a sense of trust and hard work within us to be successful in our lives. Following his teachings leads to success in life with a strong desire to trust, face challenges and a strong will to do something new. This is the result of the step taken with the same spirit that the Raj Bhavan has got this world class award.
The Governor asked the officers and employees to work on time and to give priority to the works of the poor and needy and behave well with them.
On this occasion, the family members of the Governor, MP from Surat in Gujarat, Darshana Jardosh, MLA of Vadodara, Gujarat Manisha Arora, Bollywood film actor Arjun Dwivedi, and family members of Raj Bhavan officials and employees were present.
Those who wished Governor on her birthday include Vice-Chancellors of state’s universities, members of Gujarat Samaj delegation and other elite citizens.
