Lifting up prosperity!

Many politicians like to flout their power and prosperity and having lavish houses made is one of the commonest display formats.

But no one can beat this politician when it comes to showing off what he has earned by being a sincere member of the political clan. The chairman of the MP State Agro Corporation Munshilal – a BJP leader – literally thought of `lifting’ his prosperity to a height that it could be easily visible.

Munshilal recently constructed a five-storey house in home town of Morena and to save himself and his clan from the trouble of having to climb the stairs to the upper floors, he literally got an elevator installed in his residence.

Now the Lal clan moves up and down the success elevator with élan and their prosperity coming with power is up for everyone to notice.

MLA’s supporters’ goondaism

Power they say goes straight to the head. More so of those who are around the power centre and get to taste is fruits without making much effort.

The alleged abduction and gang rape of a housemaid of a senior BJP leader who has been an union minister right in the heart of the capital by the supporter’s of a newly elected MLA from Bhopal seems to be a perfect example of abuse of power and position.

This housemaid was reportedly picked up by a group of supporters of the young MLA and gang raped recently. But when they came to know that she worked in residence of a senior BJP leader, they panicked and called up their boss who is quite close to the chief minister.

The MLA then reportedly personally visited the senior leader’s house and apologized profusely, requesting that no police complaint should be lodged. The leader accepted the apology and no complaint was lodged. The victim after all, was only a housemaid.

Race hots up

Many bureaucrats have started making efforts to get the prestigious postings of Collector and SP of the Industrial capital of the State.

Some of them have already started approaching their political and administrative mentors so as to get the plum postings. The State Government is learnt to have made up its mind to change the Collector and SP of Indore as the present officer, Rakesh  Shrivastava, is a suppertime scale officer whereas the current SP, Sanjeev Shami, is all set to go to the centre on deputation.

Given the clout of Kailash Vivjayvargiya in the region, his blessings will help the aspirants get the sought-after posts.

Strict SP in Mahakal's City

The Ujjain SP has instructed his junior officers to avoid applying tilak on the forehead. An order issued by him asked the sub-ordinates to show no religious affiliation.

This includes 'tika' and the 'bandhan' on wrist. Some policemen who were used to wear religiosity in the in City of Mahakal were not happy at SP Manmeet Singh Narang's order. Earlier senior officers including a former IG wore religion on their sleave. But the fresh directive is being praised by most overwhelmingly within the department and outside. Ideally there should not be any religious symbol or sign on a policeman (government officer's) uniform.

Now fight for CLP leader

After the electorate rendered it unnecessary for the Congress satraps of Madhya Pradesh to fight over who will be the chief minister, they have found another issue to fight on. They are now fighting over who will be the leader of the Opposition in the state Assembly. It appears that the Congress leaders did not learn a lesson from humiliating defeat and are still busy in fighting each other.

The meeting of the Congress legislature party (CLP), held on Sunday at Bhopal, concluded without fulfilling its single-point agenda of electing its leader. The Congress being the largest party in the Opposition has the option of selecting the leader of Opposition in the House.
