Jug Jug Jiye Mera Beta
One of the yatri Bhuriya Bai who is among the hundreds of yatris in Narmada Seva Yatra is showering blessings day and night upon the Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan. Bhuriya Bai, a 90 years old woman says that she never thought that could be able to perform Narmada Parikrama of North and South banks at this age. Bhuriya Bai who is a part of the yatra since its beginning mentions that she had a deep devotion and faith toward Narmada river as she is a resident of village Makdhai of Seoni Malwa area of Hoshangabad district but she could not performed Narmada Parikrama owing to family’ obligations and poverty.
Bhuriya Bai says that her life is blessed by the Narmada Seva yatra. She is taking Narmada’s darshan every day since last 5 months. There are no concern about the meals and halt during the yatra and she is getting a reward being virtue from Ram-naam lekhan in the spare time.
Moreover, Bhuriya Bai says that CM Chouhan noticed her when she was dancing with rejoice during yatra in village Jahajpur of Sehore district two months ago. Not only he hugged her coming down from the stage but bought her a new spectacle in place of her old broken spectacle which has solved her sighting problem.
On speaking with Bhuriya Bai in village Khetgaon of Anuppur, she informed merrily that when she joined yatra, she never thought that she would return to Amarkantak accompanying yatra since last 5 months as she is 90 years old and her health could have deteriorated any time. She mentioned that she heard from the elders in her childhood that people become blessed with just a Darshan of Maa Narmada whereas I have been taking darshan of Maa Narmada daily in the morning since last 5 months.
Bhuriya Bai has got her presence marked in the diary from the government employee, panch or sarpanch in the villages which she has visited with yatra. Moreover, drawing diary from her bag, she always says ‘Jug Jug Jiye Mera Shivraj Beta”.
