Link Rural Settlements with Mukhyamantri Gram Nal-Jal Yojana
Bhopal. Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan issued directives to link rural settlements with over 1000 population and scheduled caste and tribe dominant settlements over 500 population with Mukhyamantri Nal-Jal Yojana on priority. He was reviewing the Ghar-Ghar Nal Se Jal under the Mukhyamantri Gram Nal-Jal (Tap Water) Yojana at Mantralaya today.
This scheme will facilitate 70 litres water per day to each person through domestic water connection. Water will be provided in every home through pipeline. All the measures will be undertaken to purify the water.
It was inform in the meeting that settlements to be included in Maukhyamantri Nal-Jal Yojana will be identified on priority by this month end. Block wise list will be prepared of these settlements. The Chief Minister has instructed to include all the big village of the blocks on priority. The scheme will be implemented and maintained by the fixed agency for the next 5 years and later on it will be implemented by sub-committee or gram panchayat.
A total of 10 project implementation units will be formed for effective implementation of Mukahyamantri Nal-Jal Yojana. These units will have their headquarters at Bhopal, Indore, Khargone, Ujjain, Shivpuri, Gwalior, Sagar, Jabalpur, Rewa and Shahdol.
Minister for Public Health Engineering Kusum Mehdele, Chief Secretary B.P. Singh, Additional Chief Secretary Finance A.P. Shrivastva, Aditional Chief Secretary Rural Development Radheshyam Julaniya, Principal Secretary Public Health Engineering Manoj Govil, Principal Secretary to CM Ashok Varnval, Secretary to CM Vivek Agrawal and Senior Officers were present in the meeting.
