Lost Tiger Rescued, Sent to Sanjay Tiger Reserve

Seoni. Pench Tiger Reserve Management today successfully rescued a tiger wandering since the last few days in villages including Mirchivadi, Dulhapur, Baputola, Sukla, Khamariya, Ojhatola etc. of South Seoni forest range. After rescue, the tiger was sent to Sanjay Tiger Reserve, Sidhi. Due to shortage of wild animals in the tiger roaming areas and dense forests, the Chief Conservater of Forests (Wildlife) Jitendra Agarwal issued instructions to send the tiger to the Sanjay Tiger Reserve.

Zone Director Shubh Ranjan Sen said that the tiger is half adult and is searching for territory. Tiger is constantly preying for cattle. Wildlife doctor Dr. Akhilesh Mishra caught the tiger with the help of elephants and tranquilising it. The tiger was also treated for light scratches found on its body.
