Main Function of Independence Day to be held at Bhopal
Bhopal. The Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan will unfurl the National Flag at the main programme of the Independence Day to be held at Motilal Nehru Stadium of Bhopal on August 15 and will deliver message to the people on this occasion. The Chief Secretary B.P. Singh has reviewed arrangements in connection to the Independence Day Celebration Programme at Matralaya today.
All the Public buildings and monuments of national importance of the state will be illuminated at night on August 14 and 15 on the occasion of Independence Day. A cultural programme will be organized by the Culture Department at the Ravindra Bhavan of Bhopal on August 15. Prominent citizens, Freedom Fighters, Families of Martyrs of Kargil and Loktantra Senanis of the state will be invited by the collectors by the district collectors in programmes to be organised up to District level. The National Flag will be hoisted at all Public buildings. The Flag hoisting programme and group recital of National song will be held in educational institutions at 8.00 a.m. or before on this day. The Vidhan Sabha Speaker and Deputy Speaker besides Ministers will unfurl the National Flag at District Headquarters. Chief Minister’s message will be read by the Chief Guest at District level programmes.
Additional Chief Secretary General Administration Prabhanshu Kamal, Additional Chief Secretary Culture Manoj Shrivastava, Additional Chief Secretary Jail Vinod Semwal, Principal Secretary Home Malay Shrivastava, Principal Secretary School Education Deepti Gour Mukherjee, Divisional Commissioner Bhopal, Collector of Bhopal and Police Officers were present in the meeting.
