Make Proper Payment Arrangements for Social Security Pension

Bhopal. Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan issued directives to make proper arrangements with banks for payment of social security pensions, MNREGA wages and payment to farmers against procurement. Ensure that they should not visit banks repeatedly for payment. Make arrangements that farmers and beneficiaries should get information through SMS about payment in their bank accounts. Work for this under Mission mode. CM was holding meetings with bankers here today.

He said that the Prime Minister Narendra Modi has cherished a dream of New India which has priority regarding payment directly in the bank accounts and cashless arrangements. Madhya Pradesh is working continuously in this direction. Payment towards MNREGA wages to poor labourers within time should be priority of the banks. Similarly, provide social security pensions to the beneficiaries in their villages itself. Moreover, payment on support price to farmers against procurement should be ensured within time. Farmers should not face difficulties to withdraw amount from their bank accounts. Maintain availability of cash in cooperative banks for this.

Moreover, Chouhan said that cash arrival in banks of rural areas should be increased to 70 percent. Initiate action regarding this at Reserve Bank Level. Farmers' cheque clearing should not take long time. He directed to constitute a committee comprising three senior officers i.e. Additional Chief Secretary Finance A.P. Shrivastava, Additional Chief Secretary Panchayat And Rural Development R.S. Julaniya and Secretary to CM Vivek Agrawal on behalf of the state government for constant review of the status. Banks should strengthen business representative arrangements to make better payment system in rural areas. Initiate action to increase fixed cash limit for business representatives. Bring reforms in criteria for cases of Mukhyamantri Awas Mission to ensure benefit to eligible beneficiaries. Furthermore, ensure benefits of Mukhyamantri Yuva Swa-Rozgar Yojana and Mukhyamantri Yuva Udhyami Yojana to such youths who wish to establish their own industries. Make easy availability of loans to the beneficiaries under the Pradhanmantri Awas Yojana. Conduct third party assessment of beneficiaries benefited under the Pradhanmantri Mudra Yojana. 

It was informed in the meeting that gram panchayat level camps will be organised by the banks for payment ot beneficiaries. Under the Mukhyamantri Yuva Swa-Rozgar Yojana and Mukhyamantri Yuva Udhyami Yojana, One lakh 7 thousand beneficiaries have been benefited against a target of One lakh in the last financial year. Moreover, 5 lakh 44 thousand beneficiaries have been benefited against a target of 5 lakh under the Pradhanmantri Mudra Yojana. Primary Cooperative Consumer shops will be equipped with cashless facilities. This facility has been provided in One thousand 700 shops till date.
