E-rickshaws becoming popular
Neemuch. E-rickshaws are becoming popular in Neemuch these days replacing the old auto rickshaws. People prefer to travel by electric rickshaws in the city. Chanchal Bhatnagar, who owned an auto rickshaw earlier has also bought an e-rickshaw now and his income from it is Rs 300-400 per day. He is now free of the tension of paying rent daily and filling diesel-petrol.
Auto driver Chanchal used to run an autorickshaw earlier on rent. After rent and petrol payment, he could save hardly Rs 200 at the end of the day. When he got information about Mukhya Mantri Swarozgar Yojana, he contacted the concerned officer in the Nagar Palika and expressed his desire to purchase an E-rickshaw. After scrutiny his case was sent to a nationalised bank. Allahabad Bank approved a loan of Rs one lakh 40 thousand in his case. He also acquired a grant of Rs 28 thousand.
With increasing demand for e-rickshaws in Neemuch owing to rise in pollution in the city, Chanchal decided to purchase an e-rickshaw. Looking at his success, others also have made up their minds to avail benefit of state government’s Mukhya Mantri Swarozgar Yojana.
