Governor extends greetings on World Environment Day

Governor Anandiben Patel extended greetings to the people of the state on the occasion of World Environment Day. In her message she said that there is need for maximum plantation, maintenance and conservation of saplings in view of environmental pollution and climate change. She said that awareness towards environmental conservation should be generated among students. Painting, essay competitions and debates on the subject should be organized in different schools, colleges and universities. The Governor has called for active participation of the people of the state in works including creating awareness towards environment conservation among youth, tree plantation, stop use of polythenes and free rivers and other water sources of pollution.
