Plant Neem Saplings on Nimars Hills
Bhopal. Minister for Animal Husbandry, Fisheries, Cottage-Village Industries and Environment Antar Singh Arya wrote a letter to the Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan and Minister for Forest Dr. Gourishankar Shejwar suggesting them to plant neem saplings on the barren hills of Nimar. Arya mentioned in his letter that hills of Badwani, Khargone, Khandwa, Burhanpur, Dhar, Alirajpur and Jhabua districts are barren and tree less. Keeping in view the environment, this region will become useful after undertaking plantation of Nimari (Neem) at large scale. Neem needs less water and remains green forever.
Umbrageous Trees should be planted on both sides of roads
Arya gave suggestions for neem plantation by the Forest department in these districts preparing a new action plan. He has urged to plant umbrageous trees like neem, karonji, peepal and badh etc. on both the sides of the roads constructed in the entire state under MNREGA, national highways, state highways and roads constructed by public works department and rural engineering department beside Pradhanmantri Rural roads, Mukhyamantri Rural roads. Keeping in view the environment and in the public interest Arya while urging approval for both the schemes said that this will facilitate increasing greenery in the state besides controlling pollution.
