PM to dedicate works of Rs 4,713 crore in Indore on June 23

Indore. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will dedicate works worth Rs 4713.75 crore in Indore on June 23. Apart from felicitating the winners of Prime Minister’s National Cleanliness Survey, the ambitious Urban Transport Scheme ‘Sutra Seva’ of Madhya Pradesh government will also be inaugurated during the programme being organized at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium at Indore. More than one lakh beneficiaries of the Prime Minister’s Housing Scheme will be benefitted during the programme. Governor Anandiben Patel, MP Sumitra Tai, Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, Union Minister for Urban Development Hardeep Puri, Urban Development and Housing Minister Maya Singh will take part in the programme.

Awards to winners of Cleanliness Survey - Prime Minister will give away awards to the representatives of first three cities Indore, Bhopal and Chandigarh, who are winners of Urban Cleanliness Survey 2018. It may be noted that Indore and Bhopal, two cities of Madhya Pradesh have maintained their ranking in Cleanliness Survey 2017. A report and film made on Cleanliness Survey-2018 will be displayed during the programme. A book on Prime Minister Cleanliness Survey will also be released.

“Sutra Seva” to be inaugurated - Prime Minister will inaugurate the reliable, secure and economical bus service “Sutra Seva-M.P. ki apni bus” being introduced in 20 selected cities of Madhya Pradesh. The Urban Development and Housing Department will make the bus service available inside and outside the city under Amrit Yojana through private partnership. In the first phase of ‘Sutra Seva’, 127 buses will start plying for 4 Municipal Corporation including Bhopal, Indore, Jabalpur and Chhindwada and for 2 Municipal Council including Guna and Bhind soon after inauguration by the Prime Minister.

Griha-Pravesh in houses constructed with Rs 4063 crore - Under the Housing For All Concept, griha-pravesh of all beneficiaries of one lakh 219 Pradhan Mantri Awas constructed with Rs 4,063 crore in all 374 urban bodies of the state will be performed simultaneously.

23 works of Smart City dedicated - The Prime Minister will dedicate 23 works undertaken at a cost of Rs 278 crore 26 lakhs in 5 smart cities including Indore, Bhopal, Jabalpur, Gwalior and Ujjain under Smart City Mission.

14 drinking water schemes of Rs 227.78 crore inaugurated - Prime Minister will inaugurate drinking water schemes of 14 urban areas under the Chief Minister’s Urban Drinking Water Scheme during the programme. These include Dharampuri (Dhar) Municipal Council, Raisen Municipal Council, Begumganj, Obaidullaganj, Berasia (Bhopal), Athner (Betul), Badhvad (Ratlam), Dindori, Lakhnadon (Seoni), Narsinghpur, Sabalgarh, Bamor, Poursa (Morena) and Bamouri (Shahdol).

10 parks worth Rs 8.31 crore dedicated - Parks developed under Amrit Yojana in 10 urban areas including Khandwa, Burhanpur, Khargone, Sehore, Hoshangabad, Bhopal, Pithampur, Guna, Gwalior and Rewa will be dedicated.

Along with this, PM will also dedicate Rs 35 crore worth Integrated Solid Waste Management Project in Katni and Rs 2.11 crore worth Chhatarpur-Bijawar road during the programme.
