Police stations to be divided in categories on the basis of crimes

Home and Jail Minister Babulal Gaur has said that police stations in the state will be divided into 4 categories on the basis of heinous crimes. The police stations with zero heinous crimes and the ones where such crimes are maximum will be differentiated. On this basis, strategy would be chalked out and implemented to curb heinous crimes.
This was stated by Gaur to Mumbai Police Commissioner Shri Rakesh Maria and other Mumbai police officers in Mumbai today after discussions on methods to curb crimes. Gaur said that all 94 police stations in Mumbai have been divided into 4 categories on the basis of heinous crimes.
Police stations in Bhopal, Indore, Gwalior and Jabalpur will now be categorised in the same manner. Police force will be increased in police stations which are sensitive and where heinous crimes are more and a strategy will be chalked out to identify, arrest and monitor habitual criminals. Under this strategy, police will work in the direction of curbing/decreasing heinous crimes.
