On Monday lawyer Vivek Tankha had filed nomination as Congress candidate and one Shashi Stella from Jabalpur has put herself up as independent candidate. This means that voting would be required for election to the three seats on June 11.
The Congress had fielded Tankha as its candidate from Jabalpur seat in Lok Sabha polls of 2014, but he lost to Rakesh Singh of BJP by a margin of 2.8 lakh. Tankha has also previously contested Rajya Sabha seat as an independent candidate, but lost out.
