Pre-metric scholarship scheme for students of minority category

Bhopal. Online applications have been invited for Pre-metric scholarship scheme for the academic session 2018-19 from the new/renewal students of Class Ist to Xth of the minority community till September 30. Students will have to apply on the National Scholarship Portal for scholarship.

Applications from the students of the minority category will be accepted only online. Offline applications will not be taken into consideration. The Central government has notified the Muslim, Christian, Buddhist, Sikh, Parsi and Jain community under the Minority category. A target of total 75 thousand 890 cases has been fixed for new cases of pre-metric scholarship in the year 2018-19 for Madhya Pradesh. Scholarships will be given to 61 thousand 253 Muslim students, 2 thousand 736 Christians, one thousand 942 Sikhs, 2 thousand 772 Budhhists, 7 thousand 274 Jains and 3 students of the Parsi community. However, no target has been set for renewal cases.

Commissioner, Backward Class and Minority Welfare Ramesh Thete has instructed the educational institutions that the institution should first examine the online applications of carefully and after scrutinizing the attached documents forward it to the advanced level following verification of the applications of eligible students as per rules in the prescribed time limit. The institution will be held totally responsible for the termination of an application in case they are found to be incomplete and such cases will then not be taken into consideration again.
