Purchase of over 10 lakh metric ton pulses in state

Bhopal. The work of procurement of gram, lentil and mustard on support price is in progress in 593 procurement centers since last April 10 in Madhya Pradesh. So far, 10 lakh 14 thousand metric tonnes of pulses have been purchased from the farmers. The value of gram, lentil and mustard purchased is Rs 4,402 crores. So far, Rs 3,000 crore has been paid to farmers so far.

About 15 lakh farmers had registered themselves to sell crops of pulses at subsidized prices in the state. Gram is being purchased at Rs 4,400 per quintal, red lentil at Rs 4,225 per quintal and Mustard at Rs 4,000 per quintal in the state. So far, 8.53 lakh metric tonnes of gram, 60 thousand metric tonnes of mustard and one lakh one thousand metric tons of lentils have been purchased.

In the history of the country, the biggest purchase of pulses at support price has been made in Madhya Pradesh. Purchase of pulses at support price will continue till ​​ June 9. Adequate arrangement has been made for farmers at the purchase centers.
