Rehabilitation places should be developed as Mini Smart City and Smart Village
Bhopal. Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that rehabilitation sites of Sardar Sarovar project should be developed ideally. All basic amenities should be ensured so that families living there do not have any kind of problem. Chief Minister Chouhan was reviewing rehabilitation work here today.
Chief Minister Chouhan directed the officers to prepare action plan to develop Nisarpur among 83 rehabilitation sites as Mini Smart City and remaining places as smart village. He said that road, drinking water, street light and drainage etc. facilities should be availed in better way at rehabilitation sites displaced families, treating them as friends. The necessary construction work should be carried out speedily at developed rehabilitation sites. He instructed to issue payment of some amount from the remaining amount, from the package announced to displaced families living still under submerged area.
It was informed during this that 2033 displaced families did not have residential plots, and they were provided plots. Ten Ghats have been kept reserved for public in Badwani district. Twenty six cooperative societies have been formed for fishermen. Rs 62 crore were spent on basic amenities at rehabilitation sites.
