Shivraj Singh Chouhan completing 11yrs as CM.BHOPAL: Shivraj Singh Chouhan is going to complete eleven years on the post of chief minister on November 29. Bharatiya Janata Party, party organisation and the state government are gearing up to celebrate Chouhan’s eleven years as chief minister on grand level. BJP, party organisation, is organising programmes at the state’s 70,000 booths on Chouhan’s completing eleven years.
There are preparations to conduct a grand programme in the state capital, featuring Chouhan’s felicitation. There are arrangements to either invite Prime Minister Narendra Modi, or BJP national president Amit Shah in this programme.
Last year, Chouhan broke the record of Digvijay Singh for longest serving chief minister by completing ten years in power. BJP organisation had planned to celebrate this achievement on grand level but all programmes were cancelled in the wake of drought. The defeat at Ratlam-Jhabua Lok Sabha bypolls was also a reason behind cancellation. As programmes could not be held last year, it has been decided to celebrate the feat at a grand level this year.
BJP organisation is preparing a week-long programme in this regard. Besides banners and hoardings across the state, a media campaign would also be launched. The execution of the said plan would begin from the first week of November. The government is also preparing a plan to celebrate Chouhan’s achievements.
A publicity campaign would be launched comparing Congress regime and Chouhan’s regime in the state.
A committee, under supervision of additional chief secretary Iqbal Singh Bains and Deepak Khandekar, is making preparations in this connection. The duo officers have asked departments to submit their plans and also give information about the achievements made in past years. The government would publicise the achievements of various departments and Chouhan’s tenure. Special emphasis on the works done related to infrastructure, women welfare, farmers, youths, investment and employees will be given during the campaigning.
Sources said the campaign would be titled as ‘Eleven years of service, resolution and good-governance’. The schemes of the BJP government would be extended to the villages once again through this campaign. To outreach public, social service would also be done.
