Teachers’ Training for NCERT textbooks in state in 8 batches
Bhopal. From this academic session year 2017-18, NCERT textbooks have been made applicable for Science and Maths in Class 9th and Science stream (Maths and Biology) and Commerce stream in Class 11th. NCERT textbooks will be applicable in Class 10th and Class 12th in the forthcoming academic session year 2018-19. With the introduction of NCERT textbooks in the state, students will not only be able to take part in national level competitions but also succeed in it.
School Education Department has made a comprehensive programme to impart training to teachers before the academic session begins. For this Science and Maths teachers have been chosen as source experts. The source experts have been given 5-day training at Regional Institute of Education, Shyamla Hills, Bhopal. Now these source experts will train 14,235 teachers of Science and Maths in 8 batches till July 7. The training has commenced from May 15. The arrangement of training has been made at Bhopal, Chhindwada, Jabalpur, Shahdol, Gwalior, Hoshangabad, Indore, Rewa, Sagar and Ujjain divisional headquarters. The responsibility of training has been given to the District Education Officer and Joint Director Public Instruction.
The first batch has started from May 15 and it will continue till May 19. The second batch will be from May 22 to May 26, third from May 29 to June 2, fourth from June 5 to June 9, fifth from June 12 to June 16, sixth from June 19 to 23, seventh from June 27 to July 1 and eighth batch from July 3 to July 7.
