Training Programme on Pollution Control in India and Sweden
Bhopal. A four day National Training Programme is being organized by the Madhya Pradesh Pollution Control Board in collaboration with Centre for Science and Environment and Sweden Environment Protection Agency in Bhopal from September 4. The Minister for Environment Antar Singh Arya will inaugurate the training programme. The Chairman of Madhya Pradesh Pollution Control Board Anupam Rajan will grace the inaugural session as the Special Guest. Lecture by the Head of the Sweden Environmental Agency Bijasan will be the main attraction of the training programme.
Representatives of Pollution Control Boards of Goa, Himachal Pradesh, Maharashtra, Bihar, Odisha, Uttar Pradesh, Telangana, Chhattisgarh, Andhra Pradesh, Rajasthan and other states will take part in the programme. The training programme will be conducted on subject ‘Compliance Monitoring and Enforcement Practices in India and Sweden’. Approximately 50 persons along with the 4 experts of the Sweden Animal Protection Agency are taking part in the programme. Deliberations mainly on efforts being made in India and Sweden in the field of pollution control will take place in the training programme. Lectures on subjects like municipal waste water treatment plant, solid waste management cell and e-waste management will be delivered. Moreover, discussion on best practices and successful case study adopted by Madhya Pradesh will also be held on this occasion and study tour will be conducted.
