Use natural resources sparingly in the interest of the future generation
Bhopal. Executive Director, Environment Planning and Coordination Organisation Jitendra Singh Raje inaugurated a two-day workshop on “Conservation and Management of Natural Resources in Sustainable Development at EPCO today. Raje said that natural resources are being used at a fast pace at present which is not beneficial for the future generation. Calling upon the participants of the workshop he said that by utilizing water, energy, air and bio-diversity with discretion they can make significant contribution in its conservation at their personal level.
While Dr. Pravin Tamot gave information on “Environment Conservation – Challenges of Continuous Development” in the first session of the workshop, former Director, Meteorological Department Dr. D.P. Dubey informed about “Effect of Climate Change on Environment” in the second session.
Teachers participating in the Green Ganesh campaign underwent training in making clay Ganeshas. They also learnt about paper recycling at EPCO’s waste paper recycling unit. Tomorrow Water-Management expert K.G. Vyas will give information on the minute details of water management and conservation.
