Vice President honours Manveer Narang with ‘Pratisthit Mata Shredi’ Samman

Delhi. Manveer Narang of Indore has been honoured with Vayoshreshtha ‘Pratishthit Mata Shredi” Samman in New Delhi. The award was presented by the Vice President M. Venkaiah Naidu at Vayoshreshtha Samman-2018 programme held at Vigyan Bhavan on the occasion of the International Day of Older Persons. A citation letter, memento and cash reward of Rs. 2 lakh 50 thousand were presented to Narang in the form of award. The Union Minister for Social Justice and Empowerment Thawar Chand Gehlot, Union Minister of State Krishnapal Gurjar, Ramdas Athawale, Vijay Sampla and Senior Officers were present at the programme. It may be mentioned that International Day of Older Persons is observed every year on October 01 since 2005.

Manveer Narang of Nimar region is blessed by two children. Her daughter is suffering from Neuro muscular disorder since childhood. Narang always encouraged her daughter. Apart from shouldering responsibilities towards her family, she was also involved in social works. After the death of her husband in the year 2016, she donated his organs to the needy persons. A NGO named Spreading Smile Society has also been established by her. She was also honoured with the Rotary International Award, Role Model for Persons with Disability Award and Bravery Award and other awards in the past.
