Women health camps to continue in villages
Bhopal. Public Health and Family Welfare Minister, Rustum Singh has appealed to the rural women of the state to take full advantage of the free women health camps being held till May 20 in the state. He has urged the families of the women also to check if they see any health problem in any woman in their home, they should bring them to the camp and get them checked. The Health Minister said that for more information about the free camp, the Chief Medical and Health Officer, Health Worker, Anganwadi and Asha Worker can also be contacted.
The Health Minister told that adequate arrangements have been made for investigation and treatment of health problems of women of all age groups besides adolescent girls and pregnant women at the camps. Identification of anaemia and menstruation problems among young girls, identification of anaemia, high blood pressure, high risk pregnancy, elective caesarian section among pregnant women besides identification of diabetes, blood pressure, breast, cervical and oral cancer, infertility and other gynaecological diseases among other women will be carried out in these camps.
Anganwadi workers and their assistants will distribute weekly iron tablets and de--worming tablets for prevention and management of anaemic among women from reproductive age group during a meeting at their homes.
These tests are must: The Health Department told women who have symptoms like constant headache, blood pressure complaints, sudden fall in weight and increased thirst coupled with frequent urination, tiredness after little work, pain in the hands and legs, not conceiving even after three years of marriage, irregular menstruation, cyst in the breast, wounds and ulcers in mouth of women who chew tobacco must get a check -up at the free health camp in the village.
